USA Climbing Coronavirus Updates

On Tuesday, March 10, the USA Climbing Board of Directors voted to postpone Sport and Speed Nationals amid coronavirus concerns. The Board of Directors is hopeful to find a date before the start of the IFSC World Cup Lead and Speed season. The competition was originally scheduled to take place this weekend, March 13 and 14, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Competitor registration fees will be reimbursed.

In addition, USA Climbing may postpone Collegiate Nationals. Collegiate Regionals are cancelled. Qualification requirements to attend Collegiate Nationals will be modified.

Paraclimbing Nationals have been postponed.

USA Climbing has suspended the Youth qualifying season. Youth climbers will not be required to participate in local events to qualify for Regionals. Regional and Divisional Championships will remain as scheduled, but final decisions will be made no later than two weeks in advance of the Championships. USA Climbing is reviewing contingency plans should Regional Championships need to be cancelled.

Routesetting and Judging Clinics schedule for April are postponed.

Stay tuned for more announcements! This page will be updated.
